The Game Changer Podcast with Katie Wussow: Lessons in Slowing Down

I was so thrilled and honored when my mentor and business coach, a fellow female entrepreneur who I admire greatly, Katie Wussow, asked me to be a quest on her podcast "The Game-Changer." Over the last three years, Katie and I have gotten to know each other in a number of ways, but most importantly Katie has been help guide my business and day-to-day planning in a way that has changed much of what I do and how I operate.

On "The Game-Changer" we are chatting about all things time blocking, slowing down, consistency and failure! In preparing for the podcast episode, I made some important notes and on three major lessons in entrepreneurship that I shared with Katie and summarized here.

  1. PATIENCE: It's ok to breathe.... COVID, while having many many negative personal and, of course, global implications, it was a huge positive in teaching me to take life and business a bit slower. Taking time to focus and re-focus as many times as you need is crucial! Having patience in that process, patience in knowing not everything has to be done all at once, and patience (and a little faith) that things will move forward as they're supposed to.

  2. CONFIDENCE: Have confidence, stay the course, and understand where you are going with your business. Truthfully the last one took me the longest to realize. It is something that I think all entrepreneurs (at least the ones that I know), struggles with. The long terms vision!

  3. TIME: A constant struggle for me is time. And being ok when I run out of it. Some times things just do take longer than you think they will and you have to adjust. But making note of how long things take and adjusting. I have tried to put a lot of systems in place that have been very helpful, but trusting those and staying on top of them also takes time.
