creating/conversations. girl brunch edition.

connecting people that are like minded and supporting them to find ways to work together to make shit happen is my favorite thing to do. On Sunday I cohosted a brunch to coincide with a series aimed at connecting creatives and providing a platform for them to share their creative outlets, goals, thoughts and successes hosted by Matine. I became obsessed with this event and the idea so my cohost Mary and I partnered with Carolyn of Matine to kick it up a notch with a collaborative girl brunch to end the year.

Our hope and goal was to gather a group of women from various backgrounds and industries for a festive opportunity to make a connection. And as far as decor/vibe of the brunch, Matine has the most beautiful studio space so we wanted to play off the old wooden floors, white walls and row of beautiful leather colors of the inventory that hang throughout the space. And we definitely did not want to make it holiday-esque. the color palette was black, white, blush and deep greens and thanks to taffy floral and nafasi interiors it came together perfectly!

the tables we layered with white linens, nafasi interiors new 100% natural leather placemats and topped with taffy's gorgeous arrangements of almost edible arrangements. patterned and black and white napkins paired with gold plated forks and blush pink dishes from cb2 completed the place settings. and of course it wouldn't be brunch without noms and bubbly. manos de maiz created three breakfast corn tortillas that were incredible and greenheart juice shop provided three of their amazing fresh pressed juices for our take on mimosas and bloody mary's.

to top it all off, wavecrest calligraphy signed, sealed and delivered our menus and created custom holiday cards on site for guests for the holidays!

Matine is looking forward to kicking off 2017 with creating/conversations no. 4 on january 12 and mary and i hope to host the next lady gathering in february.
