Kid Approved Green Smoothie

My kids LOVE spinach… said no mom ever. With how picky my kids are, I didn’t think I would ever hear them asking for seconds when Spinach was the main character, but this kid approved green smoothie recipe always has them begging for more! The thing I love most about this smoothie is that it is so easy to customize and make your own, doesn’t take a lot of ingredients, and I never get sick of drinking it!

What you’ll need:

-1.5 fresh or frozen bananas

-2 (or more) handfuls of spinach (I promise, no one will even taste it)

-2 tbs maple syrup (sub 2 dates if preferred)

-splash of vanilla extract

- about 1 cup of milk, give or take depending on desired thickness (sub full fat coconut milk for dairy free)

After you serve it to the kids, mom can throw in whatever coffee is leftover in the pot from the morning, or if you’re like me and don’t drink coffee, you can add in some tea to add the caffeine boost every mom needs to keep her day running and cut some of the sweetness. I promise, the kids will think they’re having a milkshake for breakfast, and you will all have the spinach boost you need to take on the day like Popeye.
