Creamy Garlic Green Onion Pasta

It’s been awhile since I have been able to play around in the kitchen and this deliciously unhealthy dish was born out of the intense need for a delicious restaurant style pasta but because of covid I didn’t want to go to a restaurant for dinner. So, I set out to make something ingredients I had at home! I adopted the pasta recipe from “Lil Luna” called Creamy Garlic Penne Pasta and adjusted it to what I had available. 

The result was a SUPER intense flavored, extra creamy pasta dish that you can maybe eat once a quarter because it’s so unhealthy!

Ingredients: 

  • 1 lb pasta 

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 4 tsp of minced garlic 

  • 4 tbsp flour

  • 3/4 cup of chicken broth

  • 3/4 cup of milk 

  • 2 tbsp of green onion 

  • 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese 

Directions: 

  1. Cook pasta 

  2. Melt butter in medium sauce pan, add salt, pepper and garlic

  3. Cook until melted and fragrant (do not burn the garlic) 

  4. Add flour and stir until think 

  5. Add milk and broth, stirring. Cook until all boiling. 

  6. Add green onion and stir. 

  7. Add parmesan and mozzarella until think. 

  8. Stir in pasta 

  9. If you had parsley I would recommend it to sprinkle on top at least. Otherwise, a little extra green onion is a yummy touch!
