January Feelings

Getting your shit together feels really good. Right?!?

I was never a believer in make resolutions because I always knew they wouldn’t last. At least they never did for me. But this year I decided instead of resolutions to just try to be a different person. I decided to try to be the person I’ve wanted to be but have been too exhausted to actually be. I want to get healthier mentally and physically, be more organized and live a more balanced life.

I’m not naive to think that these things happen over night and *POOF* life is better, but I am a believer in setting your mind right can help everything fall in line. So this month has been about setting my head right to get organized for a big year ahead and trying to stay positive. How am I doing this?

Well...

1. I’m taking Sunday’s to sit down, make that weekly plan, and figure out my to do lists. I tapped into an amazing method that my friend Katie of Thrive for Creatives uses about how to best organize your week but using an amazing weekly planning template (check her out for that one). This has helped me see my chunks of time day to day that are dedicated to different facets of my life.

2. I’m attempting to get on the peloton As early in the day that I can - endorphins are real people!! My besties and I decided that in 2020 we are all going to try to focus on our health in a body positive way.

3. Meal prep … It’s so 2017 of me but I am finally on board. I am trying to get my groceries purchased and plan out dinners and some lunches every Sunday / Monday so that I can eat at home more, be healthy and not have to constantly be worrying about mid week groceries!

What are you doing in 2020 to be a better version of you?
