recipe. peanut butter soy steak.
Admittedly this recipe isn’t mine, it’s an old favorite from my bestie Mrs. Allie Cronin. When we were living together (two young single gals in the District) and she first made this for me I thought she was crazy, but it’s now a staple in my house and I am sure it will be for yours too.
Also it’s so easy you’re going to laugh…
Ingredients (for two):
Flank steak - about 1/2 to 3/4 pound
Creamy peanut butter
Low sodium soy sauce
Garlic
Salt/Pepper
Italian seasonings (rosemary, thyme, oregano, basil)
Assuming you’re making this recipe for dinner you would prepare the marinade in the morning by placing the steak in a large ziplock bag with two tablespoons of peanut butter and four tablespoons of soy sauce, then add garlic and seasonings to taste. Shake and mix the bag around to coat the steak.
Place the bag in the fridge to keep for the day.
Take out of fridge one hour before you want to cook.
Shake and mix the bag one more time. Cook to taste and serve! (I usually grill)
Voila! I told you it was easy and oh so delicious!
